This year at the Ride for Refuge charity event I elected to do the 100km loop.
Although I had previously covered that distance and then some, this would be my first measured century.
The caveat was that its a "metric" century, which is, like, half of a real one.
On top of that I rode it with a friend whose computer measured the distance at around 80km. That's really not even close to 100km.
So although my first measured century still awaits me, it was still a worthwhile day. The charity I rode for raised 13 thousand!
I dragged my camera the whole way and never took a photo. Dumb.
BUT...
A friend snapped a shot of my wife and daughter doing the 25km loop.
I am extremely proud of them.
